Memory Monday Mania

When I was younger, it was easier to get photos with my dad. He was a great guy, but people treated him poorly since he was a little odd. Epilepsy, multiple strokes and heart attacks - it was pretty miraculous how smart he was, to be honest. Sure, he got a little confused sometimes and could talk a mile a minute about who-knows-what, but he wasn't an idiot. He fought in Vietnam, was a VFF (Volunteer Fire Fighter), worked at the carnivals, and never stopped sticking up for people. He died 10 years ago, and it still feels like yesterday... Take better care of that Veteran in your social circle.
