Stand Up & Speak Your Mind

I am using Tiktok for as long as I can. It's my main location for trying to start a rebellion. I rebel against the "Dumptruck" administration in little ways, but we all need to get louder.

For instance, keep using your local library for anything and everything you can manage.

They'll have to pry my Library Card from my cold dead hands... and they probably will after making damn sure to throw propaganda at the "News" stations. We all know exactly where this nightmare is headed. I, for one, will not sit back idly as my world burns around me.

In the meantime, I also have Rednote for as long as that will be allowed. I'm sick of this nonsense already and he has only been in office 2 weeks.

Best of luck to everyone.

ByteDance TikTok Lemon8 --- U.S.A. Xiaohongshu

TikTok vs America has a lot of us up in arms. Some don't understand why we care about. Some of us remember when it was illegal to gossip because men didn't like women sharing information and having knowledge. Knowledge is Power - never forget.

Dawn's In Trouble, Must Be Tuesday...

Today has been a very full day. I got bloodwork done, I picked up my prescriptions, and I went to therapy. Then I went and got my kids some new clothes because they are growing like weeds. I even got some seeds for my friend because she wants to try gardening and I knew she'd love some okra.

I also got to chapter 11 of the 5th book I've read this summer - and it's not an ebook or smut! Then I got to (finally) update my mental health blog. It's been over a month and it's amazing how much there is going on.

Nationally, June is Pride Month. However, our little city celebrates Pride in July. They claim it's so they can support local cities during June and then they can support us the following month - which I love. Friday is our local Pride Parade and I am looking forward to it. Especially since it is also following a concert in the park (Beatles Tribute Band) and the next day is the Festival. I love this time of year.

We've been swimming at the lake a lot lately and it's an amazing feeling. We got to see fireworks not once but twice and they are already looking forward to next year.

I'm by no means a patriot - I scream F*** the 4th every year - but I do love their absolute wonder and enchantment with the beautiful (yet loud) displays and hope it never fades.

Michigan Weather.... It's Raining And We Know It.

The tornado warning this weekend was definitely something to behold. Luckily, my family just got heavy rain and thunder. Friends, however, are stranded in their town and unable to go to work. It is so weird to me this can still happen and we are never prepared for it. Michigan isn't exactly known for our weather being scary - fair enough compared to coastal regions - but when Mother Nature wakes up in our little mitten of the country, she sure does bring her A game.

Best of luck to everyone and fond wishes.

"Ordo ad Chao" -- U.S.A.

I am so annoyed with SCOTUS, not that that is anything new. Flabbergasted they had the nerve to ban Tiktok knowing full well it violates our First Amendment Rights.

I am eagerly anticipating when we actually vote the dinosaurs out of office. Congress doesn't listen to the constituents and that is not how a democracy is meant to be.

Between this, and overturning ROE V WADE, is it really any wonder so many of us are struggling to find a way out of this country. It isn't safe for immigrants, and we're too poor to emigrate. I would jump at the chance to live in Scotland, Italy, Ireland, or even Peru at this rate. I'm not very good with languages myself, despite an avid interest in the subject and words in general. But I would happily stumble through a foreign language if they had better Social Justice.

Seriously, Germany could be fun. Switzerland has great chocolate. Finland is colorful. Norway has quite the culture. Ireland and Scotland are the predominating nations on my family tree. Both countries seem gorgeous. I could live through a lot of discomfort if I felt I was actually being acknowledged.

This constant fear of what else they're going to do to us as Women, as Queers, and that's just my perspective. You add in anyone who is Black/Indigenous or in anyway not white and that fear increases by at least double.

I know I started with Tiktok, but really it is all tied together. The United States is backsliding like a game of dominoes. This is not what the suffragettes struggled for. This isn't what our culture is developed around. I am tired of hypocrisy and lies being in all corners of our government.

Why do we keep allowing these kinds of people, an insult to our entire species and destructive to the planet, into power? Why are we so afraid to stand together and rise up?

Les Miserable is, in case anyone still doesn't know this, about an actual war in France. The people, in 2 days, rose up and took back their Parisian home from the newly established monarchy. Obviously, they may have had an easier time of it since the regime they were fighting was new. But what kind of excuse is that for us not to try?

The June Rebellion occurred on June 5th - 6th, in 1832. It was so short and quick that, without Victor Hugo writing his book Les Miserable, it would have been completely forgotten to history. In fact, it wasn't until 30 years after the fact it became published in France. From this work of fiction based on a real event, we have a musical which was then turned into film. Such a phenomenal work has been continuously shared through many mediums for nearly 200 years, so it obviously doesn't lack substance. The message and the narratives serve many points, but overall it is that only together can we save ourselves.

I really don't want us to still be going through all these political tragedies 6 years from now when it will officially be 200 years.

We need to rally together, literally and metaphorically, to bring about change. Yes, you should also vote - despite the feeling of futility - because, if for no other reason, they will take away your voting rights as well if you don't actually use them. They need to know we will always do what it takes and what we can for our society to keep from crumbling. Even if it means the system itself is what is allowing us to fall apart.

Let's bring Order out of Chaos before it's too late.

it's april. oops.

Sorry I haven't been active all year so far. Ever since my laptop broke it's been difficult to get online. I don't really enjoy blogging on my phone. It's more of a hassle than a joy this way.

December is Here: Bring on the Lights!

 Happy December!

I sincerely hope all my Readers have a lovely holiday season! It's been crazy hectic over to my place, and I feel we may never really be set up for the Winter Solstice, but at least we're all together.

I'll probably do another holiday post filled with images, however that will have to wait until I'm on my phone.

I'm trying so hard to stay happy and positive but this is not the season it once was in my house. It's been nearly 12 years since my dad died and he was the heart and soul of Christmastime in our family. My grandpa died exactly 10 years after he did. Throw in all the Capricorn birthdays in my family and it's a wonder my head doesn't explode.

Still, I miss being able to drive around and look at the houses all decorated in lights... most people don't seem to do that so much anymore...

So, if you have decorated your home for the upcoming holidays, feel free to send in a photograph for those of us who can't.

Email: ayahavoc@gmail.com

Subject: Holiday Home Blog Photos

I will blur out any house numbers so as to maintain your global privacy - you deserve it - and I'll post them all together in one entry. Or I will share separately with a little spiel about your creativity, if that's what you'd prefer. You just merely mention which way you're leaning in the Message section, obviously.

I hope this will be a fun adventure for us all.

Yours Sincerely,

Lalah B. Morgan

Temu: Is It Really More of a Risk? (Opinion)

At first, everyone believed TEMU to be a scam. Now they're dealing with being a security risk.
I'm tired of being told this by people. I've had zero issues. Everything I've purchased has arrived in perfect condition. I've never had to make any returns. I have won several free gifts in the past 7 months. As for my information, I have had no issues there, either.
There's nothing worth stealing on my phone, really. I'm already careful in that regard. Any site or app is hackable. If it is hackable, it's a risk. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't want your information stolen, don't make it accessible in the first place... but this is simply my opinion on the matter.
My lovely readers, please stay safe and use your better sense while online. Thank you for your time.

Happy Mabon (Stuart Mackey Recommendation)

I seriously believed I would log in and have a million things to say to fill this void of No Posts I've been dealing with all month. I was wrong.

I am already looking up memes on Facebook, pretending I'm not daydreaming about Stuart Mackey, and craving either caffeine or a nap - genuinely want both at the same time.

On that note, if you don't know who Stuart Mackey is then please look him up on Facebook/Tiktok/Google... Not even joking. He's gorgeous, his voice is like honey (not just because of his brogue) and, of course, he is hilarious!

You should know by now that if I find someone attractive, they also have a sense of humor. For me, you need both to be worth my time. *Shrugs* It is what it is.

Irish & Fabulous among many other adjectives - this is definitely worth your time.

Feel free, my lovelies, to comment any suggestions and recommendations for making us all smile when we're blue.

HAPPY MABON! (A few days late, but it's the thought that counts!)

Twitter not X - I write in Cursive & Print. Have Fun this Weekend!

I figured I updated my other 2 blogs, I may as well stop by this one. This is, ironically, my favorite one. It gets the most attention from me, despite being the most chaotic and confusing to readers. Still, I had something for my mental health blog and remembered to bring my old poetry with me for my lipstick writing blog yet somehow I had nothing thought out for my Hey, We Exist blog...

The truth is, I should be heading to dinner and writing letters for my people. I write letters for specific people because, so they tell me, it "helps them feel good." My one friend likes them because they help him sleep by "chasing away the nightmares." Right now, though, I haven't been able to write anything new. Blame it on the Blue Moon... which, until the night before, I was unaware would also be a Super Moon... So that's been fun.

I know the moon isn't really to blame, but it's convenient when I cannot nail down a specific cause. If anyone would like handwritten, totally chaotic letters for their mental health - let me know in the comments. I would just give out my information (not smart on the internet) but I don't want to if no one will be interested.

If you still have Twitter (I will never call it "X" because that's stupid as all get out) - feel free to drop me a line in my inbox or just respond to one of my tweets. My username, (I have zero problem giving this out) is @body21 which I chose as my handle because that was the title of the song I was listening to when I made the account... In high school... Forever and a day ago...

Body 21 is by Morningwood whose lead singer was Chantel Claret in case you're curious. My favorite line is, "My body's 21 but my mind is ageless!"

I hope everyone enjoys their long weekend (in the U.S.) and stays safe (wherever you are!)

Announcement

In preparation for the busy week, I've scheduled one post per day clear until August 25th. However, I did this on my Other Blog where I post old poetry and lyrics from my glory days. Originally, the blog was intended to be about a band I was in - but it crashed and burned with very little recognition. So, if you're in need of some cringe poetry, feel free to take a look.

Ranting, Raving, Still Crazy...Creative

So I transcribed an article I wrote 18 years ago. Creativity was always something I focused on when I couldn't come up with something better. Unfortunately, since I handed it in exactly one day late, I only got half credit. Which means I failed the assignment. It was turned in late, for the record, because I had been home with the flu. Staying home wasn't something I did often but as the saying goes, "No good deed goes unpunished."  You would think they would have made an exception or offered extra credit rather than punishing me for not getting other students sick, but no. Then again, this was the same English teacher who didn't care her signs had spelling errors on them. (I still have to hear about this from my mother, by the way, because she was - still is - deeply offended!)

This is the same teacher who lost our assignments because she didn't know how to work her email - she was in her late 20s at the time and had zero excuse as far as I'm concerned. My partner, who was 9 months pregnant at the time, worked with me to re-do the assignment for the "Royal Fool" not once, but three times, because of that insult to education. Furthermore, the woman didn't even have the decency to apologize or feel bad that she'd "accidentally lost" our project. What really irks me, though, is that my super-pregnant partner wound up working through lunch to get it in on time. I offered to stay and help, but she used morning sickness as an excuse to skip lunch.

(Did you know you're supposed to get over the morning sickness in the 2nd trimester? She fainted in the damn computer lab. Who knows how long she was out before someone found her...Yeah, I'm still furious about the entire debacle. Did I mention the so-called "teacher" never felt guilty? Even after this she didn't apologize. Despicable - truly disgusting behavior.)

Anyway, there's a link to my article, written October 12th of 2005, if you're interested!
